Why Clean Gutters?
Gutters that are full of leaves and soil lowers the efficiency of storm water removal. Water cannot drain efficiently and leaves will block the down pipe. Water can sit in the gutters for lengthy periods prematurely corroding them.
If the water cannot drain quickly the gutters can over flow. Modern gutters have a high front side and water can often spill on the rear side and into the roof and hence ceilings leaking.
The other problem too is the leaves entering the storm water which is a serious hazard to our beaches starving fish and marine animals of oxygen.
An often missed reason why you need to clean the leaves away is that it can be a fire hazard.
If a bushfire near by drops cinders into a gutter full of dry leaves and twigs a fire can start then enter into the roof space. This will quickly burn the house down.
Rural Fire Service are concerned about this problem and the need to clean them.
We clean them for you and cut away any overhanging branches and bushes from the roof area.
